India (Sep 2025 updates)
1.
Initiative to support Tigers of Sariska has picked up greater momentum and support, three more workshops in nearby rural communities are planned for winters. Details at L'ile des nomads.

A team comprising of 16 young volunteers (from Russia, Germany, Italy, Finland, France and Belarus, led by Ms Maria from the Russian Federation) successfully completed our SEI eco-project in the Himalayas (Kangra, upper regions) during the summer. A Russian speaking Indian interpreter was deputed to assist Maria. The project lasted for 4 weeks. Details at L'ile des nomads.

Catherine and Mark have decided to make a short documentary on the Dhauladhars, highlighting the need for ecological-protection in the upper Himalayan region. A special aerial photographer for drone footage has been arranged by them. The crew's stay logistics and local transportation in the Valley has been organised, these will be funded jointly by some Homestay owners and Gram panchayat. More at L'ile des nomads.

Aerocraze Aeromodeller's RC flying week (recommended Radios 2.4 GHz DMSS) is being scheduled for the winter (calm winds forecaste days). The Annual picnic basket lunch this year will be at the flying-field itself. It will be jointly hosted by us and Sufalaam (Alok). The apéritifs are being sponsored by other friends. Mahseer Fishing Trip to Pancheshwar Champawat region has been abandoned due to unfavourable river conditions (excessive seasonal rains). Henry Hara and Philippe Sakatia will not be coming to India this year.

GFGC Golf week has been postponed. The revised dates will be decided by mid December. It will essentially be a fundraising event to mobalise support for two primary schools in a tribal area. Details at L'ile des nomads.
