The Indian subcontinent and diverse Global habitats have been Neel’s learning grounds, he has acquired valuable knowledge and learnt from many people, associates, partners and friends all over the world. Management, Marketing, Tourism and Hospitality have been his prime interests. Having travelled regularly for over four decades both for leisure and on business, he has spent time learning under different situations and environs, being directly involved in destination brand building, resorts and hotel projects, tourism promotion boards, management committees, investor forums, leisure concept projects and International PR campaigns.
His travels covered various continents and took him across many countries - USA, Canada, South America, UK, Spain and The Canarias, Morocco, Italy, Switzerland, France, The Netherlands, Germany, Austria, Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Norway, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Russia, Belarus, Turkey, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Kenya, Tanzania, Hong Kong, Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia and Bali Island, Malaysia, Australia, Maldives, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Bhutan.
He envisioned an idea in mid 1980s and established a potential tourism business focusing on providing 'high value destination experiences in India, along with very well managed hospitality elements'. His aim was to introduce unexplored areas of India for tourism while bringing direct economic benefits to area’s native inhabitants. The idea drew tremendous attention in the international markets.
His company thus put many destinations and places in India on the active maps of tourism promoters in Europe, USA and Australia. A decade and a half later he formed three more businesses and finally grouped them together as the “Timeless India Group”. His organisation began to serve the different needs of the market, offering professional expertise and consultancy for a wide range of requirements including strategic marketing and brand building, business management, entrepreneurship guidance, market surveys, staff training, ground operations and other related supports. Major companies began to recognize the organisation's innovative ideas, its reliability, new initiatives and performance.
He partnered with some of the largest overseas companies and formed a network of associate offices in five countries and personally trained their foreign staffs, helping his partners to build their managerial teams specially for promoting tourism to Incredible India. 'Timeless India Group' today serves clientele from the high-end markets seeking impeccable services combined with luxury elements. This is apart from several other categories of clients they feel proud to serve.
The organisation invested and set aside 21,500 sq meters (25,714 sq yards) of prime land with the idea to put up a school for imparting basic eco awareness and tourism orientation for rural youth. It will be headed by a permaculture expert from Florida and managed by a team of international volunteers.
Neel feels inspired by the thought of contributing in the growth of younger minds and helping them to become true leaders of tomorrow by sharing with them his experience and understanding of the dynamics of life, essentials of creativity and innovation, skills of good business planning, personal growth and the art of sound leadership.
